The Article "A Bayesian Reanalysis of the Phase III Aducanumab (ADU) Trial"  of Profs. Tommaso Costa and Franco Cauda of our Department proves that the pharmaceutical product developed by the multinational Biogen is ineffective against neurodegenerative disease.
The article was published in the Journal of Alzheimer's Disease on May 31st. The study analyzes the effectiveness of aducanumab (ADU), a drug produced by the pharmaceutical company Biogen to treat Alzheimer's disease. Thanks to the application of Bayesian statistics, a technique already used by Alan Turing to decipher the Enigma machine, UniTo professors have shown that the effectiveness of ADU in treating the disease was very low.
