The first Italian research on the subject of violence against women and one of the few in the world on the subject, was conducted by the research group led by Prof. Georgia Zara of our department and its results were shared in the international journal Journal of Interpersonal Violence The study entitled "Violence against prostitutes and non-prostitutes: an analysis of frequency, variety and severity" examined 330 cases of femicide that occurred in Turin and in the metropolitan city, between 1970 and 2020, committed by 303 male offenders.
